This map above attempts to relocate the disappeared garden factories of the Ermenonville park. There is almost no "real" trace of these poetic objects whose sole purpose, according to their designer René de Girardin, was to call for reverie. This map is an ironic way of reactivating their memory and their fabulatory character. In the era of digital traceability of individuals and places, the search engine redefines in some way the identity of the place, between the Wikipedia archive and the association of a random image that the engine associates with the disappeared place. The Google map produces in some way a fictitious imprint.

As part of a residency at the Château de Sacy, located in the same region, I created a fictional and sound itinerary
within the castle park, whose English style, from the same period, coincided with that of Ermenonville. Signs dot the route with fictitious drawings of the factories, associated with audio guides in which I can be heard reciting the definitions of these disappeared factories. But the sound mediation is interspersed with the conversations of the local inhabitants, which I recorded during my residency. They come to introduce themselves into the discourse as if to reconnect with a surrounding and current reality.
