Decaying Landscapes, 2025

Decaying Landscapes questions the materiality of artificial and natural environments through an aesthetic of dissolution. The images, generated by AI, reveal landscapes in perpetual metamorphosis, where structures seem to erode under the effect of an internal mutation, oscillating between organicity and digital alteration.

The liquefied textures, uncertain contours and contrasting tones create a tension between emergence and disappearance. Each image thus becomes a transitory state, a frozen moment in a process of visual decomposition.

By playing on the ambiguity of materials and the instability of forms, this series questions the persistence of images in the face of their own alteration, and evokes the ecological, technological and perceptual transformations that redefine our relationship to the landscape.
